If you haven't heard of Ipsy, then you are missing out. Ipsy is an online subscription service that provides to you five sample, or full sized beauty products plus a cute themed bag every month for only ten dollars on the first of every month! I have had the service for about three months now and I am hooked. Here is a list and review of everything I got in my bag.
My skin doesn't take well to moisturizers. I've tried tons but my skin always seems to not take in any of the product at all, or break out all over the place. This has been the first moisturizer that has been light enough, but moisturizing enough to have a good effect on my skin. I use it day and night after washing my face and it leaves my skin feeling softer and more moisturized than it's been in years. The formula is lightweight and it has a very mild scent. I will definitely be purchasing the full size. The cost of the full size is $38.00 and I got the sample size.
The packaging on this product is so cute! It says everything the balm can (but maybe shouldn't?) be used for right on the front! However, despite the cute packaging, I am not very excited to use something that claims it can be used for everything. It's like using two-in-one body and hair wash in the shower. It can't be good for EVERYTHING. I use this product on my lips at night as a mask to moisturize them and it works well on that, but under the eyes and on the ends of my hair? Grease central. I recommend using this as a lip balm, and nothing more. The cost of the full size product is $16.00 and I got a sample.
Ipsy really did me good this month with this awesome duo-chrome eyeshadow. I got mine in Lounge, which goes from a red to a green in certain lights. I paired it with green eyeliner and a teal color in the crease to really channel my inner mermaid. The pigment is amazing and it lasts all day. My only complaint is that the pan that the eyeshadow came in is the size of a dime. It's very inconvenient and doesn't fit in my MAC pro palette (where I keep all my pans of shadow) so I have to leave it in it's original packaging. The cost of the full size is $19.00 and I got a sample size.
This blush really does look great on everyone. It gives a beautiful peachy glow on skin tones from fair to deep, cool to warm. It's also a vegan, cruelty free formula so it's very natural and good for the skin. If I ever actually get through this blush, I'll definitely repurchase it. The cost of the full size is $18.00 and I did receive the full size.
I am very picky when it comes to mascara. I usually wear false lashes so any mascara I use cannot be clumpy or too over the top, BUT has to evenly coat and darken my lashes. This one does just that. It's very natural when worn alone and preps my lashes perfectly for lashes that I apply myself. The brush is very long with small bristles and I find myself grabbing for it almost everyday. The cost of the full size is $24.00, and I got it in a sample size.
I hope you guys enjoyed this review! If you're new to the subscription world or haven't even dived in yet, then Ipsy is the best service to start out with! If you already have this, then let me know what you got in your bags down in the comments, and I'll see you next time!
